Connect a form to a list, tag, or sequence

Automatically organise new subscribers the moment they sign up.

The real power of a signup form is what happens after someone submits. You can have every new subscriber automatically dropped onto a list, tagged, and even started on a welcome email series — no manual work.

Where to set this up

  1. Open your form under FormsEditor tab.
  2. Scroll to the Behavior section.

The options

  • Add to list — choose a list (e.g. "Newsletter"). Everyone who signs up via this form joins it.
  • Apply tags — click Add tag and pick or create tags (e.g. newsletter, from-homepage). Great for knowing where a subscriber came from.
  • Enroll in sequence — pick a sequence. New signups automatically start receiving it — the easiest way to send an automatic welcome series.

Click Save when done.

A common setup

For a homepage newsletter form, many people use:

  • Add to list: Newsletter
  • Apply tags: newsletter, homepage-form
  • Enroll in sequence: Welcome series

Now every signup is organised, labelled by source, and greeted automatically.

Tip: tag by source

If you have several forms (homepage, blog, a lead magnet), give each one a different tag. Later you can segment by those tags to see which source brings your best subscribers.

Next: Build a welcome sequence
