Add, edit and reorder sequence steps
Change the emails and timing in a sequence after you have built it.
You can keep refining a sequence after it's built. Open it from Sequences and use the Builder tab.
Edit an email
Click any step to open its editor. Change the subject or body, then save. Edits apply to everyone who reaches that step from now on — people who already passed it won't get it again.
Change a step's timing
Each step has a delay that controls how long Mailbo waits before sending it (e.g. immediately, wait 2 days). Click the delay to change it. Adjusting a delay affects contacts who haven't yet reached that step.
Add a step
Click Add another step at the bottom of the flow to append a new email. You can build out a sequence as long as you like.
Reorder or remove steps
- Reorder — move steps to change the order subscribers receive them.
- Remove — delete a step you no longer want.
Be careful editing a live sequence. People are moving through it in real time. Big changes (deleting steps, reordering) can give in-progress contacts a slightly different experience. For major rewrites, it's often safer to pause the sequence, make changes, then re-activate.
Pause vs Delete
- Pause (the toggle at the top) stops new sends but keeps everything. Use this to temporarily stop or to make edits.
- Delete removes the sequence entirely. Only do this if you're sure.
